32 Irregular Migrants Arrested After A Series Of Inspections Across Malta

32 people were found to be living in Malta without a valid permit after police carried out a series of inspections.

These police operations occurred in various locations, including Marsa, Ħamrun, Mosta, Ħaż-Żebbuġ, Wied il-Għajn, Imsida, Ħal Qormi, and San Pawl il-Baħar, with assistance from the Detention Services.

Inspections were conducted in residences, public transport vehicles, and work areas.

Those found to be residing in Malta without a valid permit were apprehended, and procedures were initiated to repatriate them or return them to a country where they have legal residency rights.

These inspections are part of ongoing efforts, including previous inspections related to traffic enforcement, as part of a prevention strategy.
