A collision on Birżebbuġa Road has resulted in grievous injuries to a 35-year-old woman.

The incident, which took place yesterday afternoon at around 4:15pm, involved a Yamaha motorcycle driven by a 42-year-old male and a Toyota Yaris operated by a 42-year-old female. The injured woman was a passenger on the motorcycle at the time of the accident.

All individuals involved in the accident, including the two drivers and the injured passenger, are residents of Birżebbuġa.

After the accident, the injured woman received immediate medical attention at the scene and was subsequently transported to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance. Medical reports later confirmed she had sustained severe injuries.

Police investigations are still ongoing.
