A 50-year-old woman is at risk of dying after a shocking collision between a Toyota and a Porsche yesterday in Attard.

The incident occurred at around 7pm along a new section of the Central Link Project, direction heading towards Rabat, a police spokesperson confirmed. 

The Toyota Vitz was being driven by a 53-year-old man from Żabbar, accompanied by a 50-year-old woman from Msida who was in the passenger seat.

The other vehicle involved in the collision was a Porsche Cayenne, driven by a 39-year-old resident of Attard.

Assistance from Civil Protection Department members was required in order to bring the two people out of the Toyota Vitz, due to the damages incurred.

It has since been certified that the woman’s injuries are of a serious nature. Meanwhile, the Toyota driver’s injuries are grievous. 

Magistrate Victor Axiak is leading an inquiry, while police investigations are ongoing.
