A 73-year-old man died yesterday after being taken to Mater Dei Hospital where he was diagnosed to be suffering from serious injuries.

The incident occurred yesterday at 11am in Triq il-Belt Valletta, Ħaż-Żebbuġ.

The man, resident of Mqabba was riding a Honda CBR motorcycle and the collision was with a Kia Ceed car driven by a 41-year-old woman who resides in Mellieħa.

The man received medical assistance and was transported to the hospital by ambulance however he lost his life due to his injuries.

Police investigations are still ongoing.
