NGO Pledges €1,000 Reward To Find Those Behind Cat Killings

Moira Delia, founder of Real Animal Rights Foundation (RAR), announced that the NGO is offering a €1,000 reward for information leading to the capture of the people who killed cats in Sliema.
“From 7th June onwards, as you’ve seen on social media, someone has been torturing cats. They have been torturing and killing the most vulnerable cats- cats that are the most friendly or the elderly cats,” said Delia. “This has taken place in Sliema, Gżira and possibly Attard.”
Some cats were found in boxes coated in blood while others had parts of their tails and tongues cut off. So far, six cats have been found in these conditions as reported by residents from Sliema and Gżira.
Several reports have been submitted to the police and to Animal Welfare Malta and investigations started immediately.
Delia assured that “the people that come forward to help us find the culprits can be kept anonymous. We will not ask for names or information.”
If you have any information on the people who have been torturing and killing stray cats, RAR encourages you to call or text Dr Romina Frendo on 77550550.
