‘A Warrior Until The End’: Andrew Falzon Passes Away Following Battle With Parkinson’s

46-year-old Andrew Falzon has passed away after suffering for 22 years of Parkinson’s disease.
His death was announced by his mother, Maria Falzon on social media, who described him as a warrior throughout his battle with Parkinson’s.
“Despite living with Parkinson’s since a young age, his adventurous spirit never stopped striving for self-improvement while always ready to lift others up and help them carry their burdens, while carrying his own, unimaginable weight,” wrote Falzon on Facebook.
Andrew graduated from University as a teacher for Physical Education and used to practice sport frequently. He had even done a delicate operation which allowed him to go out for walks in nature.
In an interview with TVM, he said that Parkinson’s robbed him of many things, including sport and his career, which he had to stop suddenly.
“I was a PE teacher, so I tried to stay strong but I got to a point where I couldn’t speak and thus, teach,” said Andrew.
He was one of the first patients in Malta to do a deep brain stimulation operation, which was seven hours long. Andrew went on to say how this operation helped him to walk in nature with his dog in an easier way.
