Amazing Maltese Projects Brought To Life By Crowdfunding
Crowdfuning is a (relatively) new way to support creative initiatives, that previously may not have enough money to get their ideas off the ground. Now, through the hundreds of euros being thrown at projects loved by complete strangers, we’re seeing a new wave of awesome ideas come to life.
Here are some of Malta’s success stories, as well as projects we think are super cool and could use all the help they can get!
1. Politicks Card Game
An amazing crowdfunding story that plays on Malta’s love for fun, and of course politics. They’ve already smashed their fundraising goal… 5 times over! Luckily, you’re still in time to pre-order this exciting game and expect a delivery just in time for Christmas!
2. REUNITED Mater Dei Pet Cabin
What better way to fight the shitty atmosphere in hospital, than with puppies? Well, this project has finally been approved by the authorities, which means it’s totally time for dog visitation.
Once the project is up and running it will be the perfect serene meeting place where patients can meet with their family dogs and will also house other pet related activities such as Pet Therapy for the patients.
3. Comics for the Public Library
The Graphic Novels Library Malta are hoping to donate a whole bunch comics and graphic novels to the Central Public Library to help promote literacy and inspire children to read. Comics are an amazing way for children to discover new worlds and make education fun!
4. Therapeutic Horseback Riding
Hoping to set up a structure that will allow children with disability to receive therapy in an alternative way, this initiative has just over two months left to get the funding it needs!
5. Days of Ire: Budapest 1956
A revolutionary card/board game created by Maltese game company Cloud Island, the game is set during the most explosive days of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution. The players collect cards and fighters to resolve events and other challenges posed to them by their Soviet opponent.
