The family of Andrew Schembri, the 29-year-old musician, artist, and light technician who tragically passed away last week, has just announced his funeral.

His family announced it as a feast celebrating the young man’s life and light, asking people to wear colours, white, or light clothes.

“In honour of his spirit, we invite you to turn up in white, light or colourful clothing while respecting the sanctity of the space,” Andrew’s brother David wrote, sharing an image of the ‘Feast Of Andrew’. 

Held this Saturday morning at Żurrieq’s St Catherine’s Parish Church, the ceremony will also be accepting donations in his memory to either the Richmond Foundation or the Għaqda Residenti taż-Żurrieq, an organisation currently fighting to safeguard Andrew’s hometown from development.

The funeral will be commencing at 9am.
