The Archdiocese of Malta has issued a warning about fraudulent emails being sent in the name of Archbishop Charles Scicluna, attempting to trick recipients into sending money or sharing personal details.

In a statement, the Archdiocese stressed that Archbishop Scicluna never requests donations, financial help or personal information via email or messaging apps.

The public is being urged not to respond, click on any links, or open attachments found in such messages, as multiple versions of the scam are circulating.
