Body Found In Sliema Luggage Had A ‘Stomach Filled With Drugs’ As Autopsy Details Emerge
The dismembered body found floating in a luggage in Sliema had a stomach filled with drugs, TVM News reported based on an autopsy report of the corpse.
While investigations are ongoing, it is likely that the man is foreign. Sources of TVM have stated that the victim was in his 40s or early 50s and he might have even had a disability.
The autopsy was conducted by Doctor Mario Xerri.
Police officials are currently searching for a male suspected of having killed and dismembered the victim with a machete purchased from a shop in Naxxar.
The body was found yesterday at 2pm after a Scottish man spotted the luggage out in the marina some 30 minutes before.
While it was initially reported that only the victim’s head and torso were found inside, it is now being reported that his legs and hands were also inside, buried underneath.
This is a developing story.
