Breaking: db Group’s ITS Project Approved As NGOs’ Appeal Rejected
A court has ruled in favour of db Group over the controversial Pembroke project, winning the appeal filed by environmental NGOs against the project.
The appeal was filed by Moviment Graffiti, Din l-Art Ħelwa, Friends of the Earth Malta, The Archeological Society Malta, Żminijietna – Voice of the Left, Flimkien Għal Ambjent Aħjar, Green House Malta, Rota, Alison Pullicino, Sonia Tanti, Rita Zammit, Norman Zammit, Adrian Grima, Josef Buttigieg, Stephanie Buttigieg, and Arnold Cassola, against The Environment and Resources Authority and db San Gorg Property Limited.
Judge Mark Chetcuti delivered the decision earlier this morning, saying that the Court rejected the appeal.
After raising €20,000 from the general public, three local councils, nine NGOs and ten Pembroke and Swieqi residents filed an appeal against the planning permission granted to the DB Group’s City Centre project.
