Budget Presented Today Will Be A Realistic One, Promises PM Robert Abela
Prime Minister Robert Abela promised that a realistic budget will be presented later today, following several consultations and discussions.
Speaking during a telephone interview on One Radio yesterday, he emphasised that it will be one of the most consulted upon budgets of all time.
“Tomorrow’s budget will be a realistic one, created with the people, for the people,” said Abela.
The leader of the Labour Party also stated that the budget presented will ensure that Malta remains on top of its priorities, economically, environmentally and socially.
“We made sure to discuss and consult with various stakeholders within different sectors in our country, to make sure that we address everything that is needed,” he explained.
The budget will also include a continued focus on the welfare of the elderly and maximisation of opportunities for people to strengthen their abilities and more education.
The Prime Minister also criticised the Nationalist Party for what he described as “a lack of unity and harmony,” stressing that “the nation cannot trust a party that isn’t even united”.
