Bus Driver Taken To Hospital After Crashing Into Barrier In Żejtun
A 53-year-old man from Għaxaq was taken to hospital after he crashed into a barrier while driving a private bus.
While his exact condition is not yet known, police have confirmed to Lovin Malta that he is not in danger of dying.
Police were informed of the incident today at 6.30am and officials soon went to the scene on Triq Anton Buttigieg. Police officials and members of the Civil Protection Department (CPD) helped in extracting the driver from the bus.
Police further confirmed that no one else was injured and that no other vehicle was involved in the crash.
A witness on the scene told Lovin Malta that the man was in a neck brace surrounded by emergency responders.
