Caritas Announces Christmas Day Lunch For Those In Need At The Archbishop’s Curia
This year’s meal, prepared with the support of The Alfred Mizzi Foundation and traditional Christmas sweets made by the President’s Kitchen, will include contributions from over 125 volunteers and residents from Caritas’ therapeutic homes.
Fr. Micallef noted that this initiative extends beyond the Curia, with several parishes also organising meals for those in need, and Marta’s Kitchen distributing 400 hot meals to vulnerable individuals.
Caritas Malta’s Director, Anthony Gatt, shared heartwarming stories from past events, including one attendee who remarked, “Better a piece of bread with you than a turkey alone.”
Last year, the lunch welcomed people aged from two to 100, highlighting the inclusive nature of the event.
In addition to the delicious food, music from X-Tend is set to create a joyful atmosphere, and attendees will leave with a small token to commemorate the day.
The Alfred Mizzi Foundation has also donated sustainable plates and accessories to ensure an environmentally friendly approach this year.
