Ċirkewwa Diving Casualty Was A 45-Year-Old Dutch Man
The man who tragically died earlier today after encountering difficulties while diving in Ċirkewwa was a 45-year-old man from the Netherlands.
Police, along with the Armed Forces of Malta, ensued a search and rescue upon discovering that 18 divers had encountered difficulties while diving in a site known as Rożi.
The Dutch man was one of four who were able to get ashore. However, after being rushed by ambulance to Mater Dei Hospital, he was unfortunately pronounced dead.
At the time of writing, the condition of the other three divers who were taken to hospital is unknown.
A Magisterial Inquiry has been opened while police investigations are currently underway.
