CPD Extinguishes Qormi Factory Fire
Civil Protection Department (CPD) firefighters are responding to an industrial fire at a factory in Qormi.
The fire has been contained and extinguished, but CPD officers remain on site to monitor the situation until it is fully under control.
CPD disclosed a breakdown of the resources used to control the fire:
- 100,000 litres of water
- 5,000 litres of foam
- 35 firefighters
- 11 fire fighting appliances
- 5 senior CPD officers
CPD went on to thank the Malta Police Force, Transport Malta, St John Ambulance and Rescue Malta, Emergency Fire & Rescue Unit and Mater Dei Emergency Department for their cooperation.
