Malta’s cruise tourism sector continues to sail strong, with 350,338 passengers arriving during the third quarter of 2025, an 8.9% increase over the same period last year.

Between July and September alone, 140 cruise liners called at the Grand Harbour, marking 16 more visits than in the same quarter of 2024.

When looking at the year so far, the numbers remain positive.
From January to September 2025, total cruise passenger traffic reached 691,261, representing a 2.8% increase over the same period last year.

In total, 294 cruise liners have docked in Malta over the first nine months of the year, 23 more than during the same stretch in 2024.

The figures reflect a steady rebound in Malta’s cruise industry, which remains one of the key pillars of the country’s tourism calendar, particularly during the busy summer season.
