Esplora Brings 3D Printing To Life With New Interactive Exhibit
Esplora is buzzing with excitement as it unveils its latest attraction—a groundbreaking 3D Printing Exhibit nestled within the Innovative Technologies Gallery. This innovative initiative underscores Esplora’s unwavering dedication to weaving cutting-edge technologies into its educational offerings, creating an engaging space for learning and creativity.
Thanks to a fruitful partnership with Invent 3D Ltd, the Innovation Gallery now features state-of-the-art Prusa Mini printers, allowing visitors to witness the magic of 3D printing firsthand.
This immersive experience is designed to ignite curiosity and inspire young minds in the realms of science and technology, making learning an exciting adventure.
Sustainability takes centre stage in this exhibit, with the use of PLA filament crafted from recycled plastics sourced from renewable plant materials. This choice not only highlights Esplora’s commitment to eco-friendly practices but also exemplifies a holistic approach that blends technology, sustainability and education. The aim is clear: to empower young learners with vital skills for a future where innovation and environmental responsibility go hand in hand.
The launch event was attended by Silvio Scerri, CEO of Xjenza Malta; Olaf McKay, Esplora’s Senior Director; Rebecca Buttigieg, Head of STEM Engagement at Esplora; and David Sciberras, CEO of Invent 3D. Their collective insights and enthusiasm brought to light the importance of this initiative in nurturing a culture of innovation and sustainability.
“We encourage our visitors to explore this exhibit, ask questions about how it works and be creative. The scope of this exhibit is to equip our visitors not only with new knowledge but also to inspire them to create and innovate,” Olaf Mc Kay stated, expressing his eagerness for visitors to engage with the exhibit.
“This exhibit will not only showcase this amazing technology, but it is expected to raise awareness among budding entrepreneurs while sowing a seed of innovation that Invent 3D will nurture and care for,” David Sciberras noted by emphasising the broader implications of the exhibit.
