Yousef Borda has been identified as the 48-year-old man who lost his life yesterday in a three-storey fall in Fgura.

“I was really shocked when I heard the news of what happened to you. I don’t have any words, rest in peace,” one person said on social media. 

Borda was also an ex-Staff Sergeant, with the General Workers Union Disciplined Forces, Security & Law Enforcement Officers Section, issuing a tribute in his memory and sending condolences to the family.

The man died yesterday afternoon after a three-storey fall while he was trying to access his balcony from his roof after he got locked outside. For some reason, he fell and unfortunately lost his life.

Police were informed about the incident at around 1.45pm yesterday afternoon, which occurred along Triq il-Karmelitani, Fgura, at his place of residence.

A medical team was called on site, but unfortunately, the man was certified dead on-site.
