The final farewell for the President’s husband, notary Anthony Spiteri Debono has started in Valletta.

Spiteri Debono passed away on 24th July at the age of 75 following health complications. The couple were married for over 40 years and had three children together.

A notary by profession, Spiteri Debono was known for his humility, integrity, and dedication. Though he maintained a low profile throughout his wife’s political career, he remained a visible and constant support, frequently accompanying her during official events since her appointment as Malta’s Head of State in 2024.
