Malta’s national airline Air Malta will be closing its doors after 50 years of service, and flight attendants have started to bid farewell during their last shifts.

Love Island Malta flight attendants Kyle Curmi and Allen Piscopo took to social media for a heartfelt message.

“I’m grateful for the countless memories shared with our passengers and colleagues. Thank you for your unwavering support and loyalty. It’s been an honour to serve you,” stated Curmi.

Air Malta will officially be closing its doors on 30th March, and will be replaced by a new airline, KM Malta Airlines Limited. Air Malta’s replacement recently unveiled its summer schedule, spanning from March 31st to October 26th, encompassing over 8,500 scheduled flights to 17 airports and 15 cities.

The farewell flight has been met by many dedicated flight attendants, many of whom will be able to apply for a job at the new airline, stated the new airline’s chairman David Curmi.
