Forbes Ranks Marsaxlokk Among World’s 50 Most Beautiful Villages

Malta’s charming fishing village of Marsaxlokk has officially made the cut in Forbes’ 50 most beautiful villages worldwide.
It’s easy to see why! The harbour is a rainbow of colourful luzzus, their traditionally painted eyes seeming to keep watch over crates of fresh swordfish and octopus brought in by local fishermen.
Travel experts painted a picture for the readers as they described a typical Sunday on Marsaxlokk’s promenade which is lined by seafood restaurants sizzling with garlicky aromas.
They went on to describe locals haggling “at the bustling Sunday market: overflowing with prickly pears, lacework, and jars of honeyed ġbejna.” The experts even mentioned St Peter’s Pool as a destination for cliff jumpers plunge into the beautiful waters.
With views, flavours, and vibrant traditions like these, it’s no wonder Marsaxlokk caught Forbes’ eye.
