Foreign Affairs Minister Assures Continued Support for Palestine Amid Ongoing Conflict

In a recent meeting with Malta’s Foreign Affairs Minister, the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Malta raised his concerns regarding the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip.

Ambassador Fadi Hanania discussed the latest developments in the conflict which includes “more than 1,200” people that have signed and agreed on the importance of “intervening to end the aggression on Gaza.

Hanania also briefed Minister Ian Borg about decisions taken to prevent the entry of essential materials, such as medicines and food. He stressed the importance of ensuring open passages to meet basic human needs.

Minister Borg acknowledged the grave nature of the situation and confirmed he has been in touch with the Palestinian Foreign Minister. 

Borg also noted that he has consulted with fellow EU Foreign Ministers on this pressing matter.

Despite calls from some European countries, Borg assured that Malta  remains steadfast in its support for Palestine and will not yield to pressures to cease such backing.
