Four men have been hospitalised this afternoon after a gas explosion that occured whilst the men were using a gas cooker in the vicinity of Paradise Bay.

A spokesperson for the police said that they received a call at around 2:15pm where they were informed of the above.

The men, who suffered burns on various parts of their body, were given first aid by other boat owners nearby, as reported by TVM.

Red Cross personnel immediately arrived on the scene and provided medical assistance. They were also assisted by several medical emergency teams that arrived at the bay area accompanied by no less than four ambulances.
