Francesca Rausi’s Mum Reacts To Youths’ Comments In Hot Seat’s Abortion Debate
Michelle Rausi, mother of Francesca Rausi, has spoken out on social media following a recent debate on abortion hosted by Lovin Malta and FreeHour.
Hot seat is a bold new debate series by Lovin Malta and FreeHour, where young people challenge prominent local figures on Malta’s most controversial topics, with the first episode focusing on abortion with nine pro-choice youths debating Peppi Azzopardi, who is pro-life.
“I have followed the discussion between Peppi Azzopardi and a number of Gen Z youths, I was appalled and I was truly saddened,” wrote the mother. “According to these youths, I could have gotten rid of my now nine-year-old daughter, who has made our lives and the lives of countless others better.”
Michelle went on to reflect on her pregnancy, describing it as a beautiful experience. She invited the youths involved in the discussion to meet Francesca in person, expressing her belief that doing so could change their perspective on some of the points raised during the debate.
She also shared her deep gratitude for having Francesca in her and her husband’s life and ended her statement expressing her love towards her daughter.
