A 45-year-old male resident of Ħal Għaxaq was found seriously injured in a building’s common area earlier this morning.

Police were called to Triq il-Merill earlier at around 5.15am. 

Upon arrival, they found the man laying on the floor of the common area with various injuries.

He was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital where it was found that he is suffering from injuries of a serious nature.

Magistrate Lara Lanfranco is leading an inquiry, while police investigations are still ongoing.
