Ħal Far Fire Extinguished After 16-Hour Firefighting Efforts

The Civil Protection Department has posted photos and an update regarding the Ħal Far fire that took place yesterday night.

The fire has been successfully extinguished, with no injuries reported.

The operation involved:

  •  900,000 litres of water
  • 80 firefighters
  • 16 hours of continuous firefighting
  • 10 senior officers
  • 20 fire appliances

In a post on Facebook, the Civil Protection Department went on to thank the Malta Police Force, the Mater Dei Hospital Emergency Department, Malta International Airport Fire Section, Transport Malta, the CPD Volunteers, the Emergency Fire and Rescue Unit ant the ST John Ambulance and Rescue Malta for their ongoing assistance in the operation.
