Ħamrun Spartans have been declared the winners of the Premier League for the ninth time in history.

With the match ending just moments ago at the Ta’ Qali national stadium, a late goal secured the 1-0 win for the Spartans against Gżira United.

The goal was scored by Luke Montebello in the eightieth minute. 

Managed by construction magnate Joseph Portelli, this is the second league win for the Spartans in the last three years.
