Help Tama Malta Raise Money To Keep Their Support Services Running

Women-led Maltese NGO TAMA is raising €5,000 to continue providing vital trauma-informed support services to survivors of gender-based violence, particularly from diaspora and other forms of systemic inequality in Malta.
TAMA has become a quiet yet powerful force in the local NGO scene, offering emotional support, advocacy, and practical help to women and girls affected by violence and trafficking, and seek to amplify marginalised voices
“Gender-based violence isn’t always visible, but it is happening, right here in Malta,” the organisation said.
Lovin Malta recently interviewed victims who shared their harrowing stories of surviving trafficking and abuse as part of a larger campaign led by TAMA wherein we interviewed six people who sought refuge in Malta.
“You may have seen recent stories of women who survived trafficking and abuse. At TAMA, we work quietly but consistently to support survivors, helping them begin to heal.”
The fundraiser aims to cover core operational costs, such as digital tools, messaging platforms, and basic overheads, while also allowing the organisation to employ survivors, expand outreach efforts, and run training sessions with institutions across the country.
TAMA’s work includes advocacy on Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), disability rights for foreigners, and access to services for migrants and refugees: all areas where vulnerable communities face systemic barriers. The group operates with a trauma-informed and community-centered approach, driven by a team with lived experience and a commitment to creating safer, more inclusive spaces.
If you want to support the continuation of this essential work, TAMA is asking for donations, big or small, to help them reach their €5,000 goal and keep their life-changing services available to those who need them most.
