Gżira Mayor Conrad Borg Manché announced that he sent a letter of resignation from the PL administration this morning.

Borg Manché stated he will publish the letter he sent “so that everyone knows the reasons and no one sits around speculating and inventing.”

This year marks the ninth year for Conrad in his role as Gżira Mayor as well as being part of the PL administration.

“I am not a yes man. I’ve always resisted,” the mayor said in a statement on his Facebook page, adding that he felt unwelcome in the party.

“I don’t know if they expected it or not, but they did everything for me to have no other choice but to resign from the party,” Conrad wrote regarding his decision.

“Everyone has their limits, I have endured and waited enough now. Everyone makes mistakes, but I always forgave and moved on, but these are not mistakes that can be forgiven, but regrets and acts of revenge that wear you down” Borg Manché continued.

Many people have reacted to this resignation as they praise the mayor for his hard work and dedication towards the community.
