Improvizza! Malta’s First Improvisation Festival Is Currently Happening At Spazju Kreattiv

Malta’s first-ever improvisation festival Improvizza! kicked off yesterday at Valletta’s Spazzju Kreattiv, giving Maltese audiences the opportunity to watch improvised performances.
Improvisation is a performing art that is still relatively unknown in Malta and Improvizza! will allow audiences to experience a taste of the variety of styles that improvisation encompasses.
There are many different and rich formats of improvisational theatre, most of which have never been performed in Malta.

Improvizza! is an excellent opportunity to not only watch some shows but also learn some new skills as actors and performers.
The festival began on 15th September and is set to go on until the end of this weekend, bringing together a number of talented people, both locally and internationally.
International improvisation teachers have come to Malta to teach a selection of workshops that range from three hours to two days and cover a wide variety of topics, ensuring something for everyone and all experience levels.

In the evenings there will be improvisation shows that will showcase many different types of improv formats, from short-form to longer formats that can be a comedy or more dramatic.
There is something for everyone and the shows are guaranteed to be spontaneous, engaging, and lots of fun. If you’ve never watched improvisation, this is an excellent opportunity to discover this world.
If you’re familiar with improvisation, all the more reason to visit!
