JeanPaul Sofia’s mother, Isabelle Bonnici, has just been nominated for the European Citizen’s Prize.

Bonnici’s nomination was brought forward by Peter Agius, who is currently contesting for an MEP position in the upcoming election.

The heartbroken mother has been desperately appealing for justice for her son over the last months after he died in a construction site accident in Kordin.

Her demands mainly revolve around the fact that there should also be a public inquiry into his death, but Prime Minister Robert Abela continues to ignore her pleas.

The European Citizen’s prize seeks to reward people that partake in initiatives that contribute to the promotion of values while cooperating with the European Union.

Do you think Isabelle deserves to win this award?
