Konrad Mizzi is set to miss the upcoming parliamentary committee sitting, as he remains in hospital recovering from his illness.
Mizzi was due to appear before Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee (PAC) and will be missing yet another sitting as a result of his hospitalisation.
The next sitting is happening tomorrow and was meant to continue questioning Mizzi over his involvement in the Electrogas deal.
Mizzi was admitted into the hospital earlier this month and was later unveiled that it was a cause of fever and peritonitis.
It is unlikely that Mizzi will appear before the PAC, before the next year, Times of Malta reported.
At first, it was unclear whether he was suffering from a potentially life-threatening illness, but his condition was later deemed to be so.
The PAC has been waiting to hear Mizzi’s testimony about his involvement in the Electrogas deal, as corruption allegations continue.
