An accident that occurred late last night in the limits of Ta’ Qali left a car overturned and three hospitalised.

The accident happened at around 11:30pm and saw a Fiat being driven by a 23-year-old woman from Tarxien crash with a Ford being driven by an 18-year-old man from San Ġwann.

The teenage Ford driver, meanwhile, only suffered “injuries of a light nature,” Malta Police said in a statement issued this morning.

A 23-year-old woman from Paola was also in the Fiat, and it was later discovered that both the car’s driver and passenger suffered grievous injuries.

They were taken to Mater Dei to receive treatment for their injuries.
