A 27-year-old Attard man suffered serious injuries overnight when he was involved in a horrific crash down his locality’s Central Link road.

The accident, which occurred at around 2:15am, reportedly happened when the man lost control of his black Renault Clio and crashed into a rubble wall in Triq Oliver Agius.

A medical team arrived at the scene and an ambulance soon rushed the driver to Mater Dei where he was certified with serious injuries.

Malta’s Police Force has issued a number of photos from the scene, showing the chilling mangled remains of the car which was left barely recognisable.
