‘Make A Noise About Bullying’: Maltese Anti-Bullying NGO Launches Campaign To Empower And Encourage
Maltese Anti-Bullying NGO bBrave launched its campaign “Make a noise about bullying” as part of this year’s national anti-bullying week which kicked off today.
This year’s theme focuses on the need to not shy away from talking about bullying, challenging the common tendency to remain silent about the pain it causes or dismiss it as mere banter.
Throughout this week, bBrave is reminding everyone of their responsibility to speak up and help one another. It takes courage, but it can be life-saving.
bBrave is fostering discussions on the nature of bullying and effective strategies to end it, emphasising the need to break the silence that often surrounds such incidents.
“This year’s theme fits perfectly with our mission to raise awareness and talk about bullying,” bBrave Founder and Secretary General Dr. Aaron Zammit Apap said.
“Make a noise about bullying is an empowering and encouraging message to those who are experiencing it or those who are seeing it happening. Be brave and call out bad behaviour!” Zammit Apap added.
bBrave also highlights that bullying is not age-specific and can occur at school, home, the workplace, and online.
Anti-Bullying Week will run until 19th November as the public is invited to join in and spread the message of this year’s theme by actively participating in the campaign.
