Malta Dream Beach Wedding Turned Nightmare For Foreign Couple Thanks To Nearby Ravers

A newly married couple had their dream day ruined after they travelled down to Malta to have a beach wedding but were met by a bunch of “ravers” at their supposedly “exclusive” venue.

“It was the worst day of my life. We had about 10 ravers for every wedding guest. We were outnumbered – there were about 150 of them,” Natalie Rhodes said, according to The Mirror.

Natalie and her husband Adam Butterworth had been planning their wedding for years, but they were constantly side-lined and made to push the date.

After having two children and suffering through the pandemic, they finally decided that it was the right time to celebrate their love – so they pulled out all the stops to ensure the perfect day.

The pair allegedly used Perfect Weddings Abroad to book their £5,995 wedding in Malta where she was allegedly promised venue exclusivity, a professional photographer and control over entertainment. Perfect Weddings Abroad is based in the UK and is completely unrelaated to the Malta-based Perfect Weddings Malta.

Yet, their special day turned out to be something completely different to what they expected.

“Two days before the wedding, one of the colleagues that was abroad basically told us that we would be sharing the venue with a party of people and that it wouldn’t be exclusive at all.”

“We had half-naked party goers watching us get married on the beach. We had children there and it was just like one big rave. I think they paid something stupid like £50k so they didn’t expect to be sharing it with us either, they even said it was like they were gatecrashing our wedding.”

Natalie went on to claim that the party-goers were more than a simple disturbance, they left vomit all over the bathrooms and had blaring music that drove guests to leave.

“There was vomit everywhere. My child went into the bathroom, came out then vomited all over the beach because he’d seen what had gone on in the toilets – they were covered in vomit.”

“It was a mixture of colours and it was all over the floor and all up the side of the cubicle where someone had come out and not made it to the sink or the toilet.”

Meanwhile, the music that the separate party was playing was “very loud”, “aggressive” and had “loads of swear words”.

The couple’s DJ was even told to leave because his music, which was selected by Natalie, clashed with the noise coming from the other party.

“It ruined the atmosphere, it ruined the wedding.”

“The ceremony was over, it literally took ten minutes. It ruined the celebration, the ceremony was ruined because there were people right next to where we were getting married, sunbathing half naked.”

“There were both men and women laying around with next-to-nothing on, my mother-in-law was mortified and my husband asked them to move only for the manager to come over and say that we can’t ask people to move.”

The biggest problem for the couple wasn’t really the nudity, “it was more the swear words in the music, the marijuana and the vomit everywhere,” Natalie explained.

“When the rave began, we just kind of sat there wanting to leave. We had a quick drink and we left early. We walked to the hotel we were staying in and put the children to bed. We sat on the balcony and had a drink.”
