Malta has officially been named the third most Googled country in the world for travel in 2024, placing it ahead of popular destinations like Italy, Egypt and Portugal.
The ranking, which looks at global search trends, reflects growing interest in Malta’s blend of history, architecture, natural beauty and Mediterranean charm.
From Valletta’s vibrant food scene to the island’s iconic use in international films like Gladiator II, Malta is continuing to capture the world’s attention.
The country ranked just behind Greece and Turkey, who claimed second and first place respectively.
Other destinations featured in the top 10 included Croatia, Mauritius, and Mexico.
With more eyes on Malta than ever, the island’s popularity as a travel destination shows no sign of slowing down.
