Malta Ranks Third Best Country For Digital Nomads To Relocate To

According to experts at William Russell, Malta has ranked third in the list of best countries for digital nomads to relocate to.
With the online world growing faster than ever, the number of people working digitally, from anywhere in the world, rather than a fixed workplace environment is on the rise.
The number of digital nomads in 2024 is set to increase to around 40 million.The list of countries are judged on a number of criteria, such as maximum length of stay, whether the country offers universal healthcare, what their health ranking is and the Number of searches for “(country) digital nomad visa”.
With a digital nomad score of 7.29/10. In the past year, there have been over 18,600 Google searches for “Malta digital nomad visa.” The country welcomes both freelancers and contracted workers to relocate and serves as a hub for industries like gaming and gambling. Digital nomads can stay in Malta for a minimum of 12 months, with the possibility of extending their stay up to three years.
Malta is ranked 19th globally for health. The country boasts one of the most advanced healthcare systems, offering both public and private care. Malta’s main hospital, Mater Dei, is among the largest medical facilities in Europe. Despite the country’s robust healthcare system, the Maltese Ministry of Health deems it crucial for foreign residents to have international health insurance.
