Malta Was The Second-Lowest EU Country With Reported Memory And Concentration Issues In 2022

In 2022, Malta was one of the countries in European with the lowest-reported number of cases of difficulty remembering and concentration issues.
According to Eurostat data, Malta had some of the lowest numbers with regards to people facing memory and concentration difficulties, with a share of 6.5 %, placing second-lowest in the rank of EU countries, just above Cyprus (5.7%).
Ireland (7.3%), Bulgaria (7.9%) and Hungary (8.0%) followed suit.
In Malta, individuals who are not at risk of poverty and have difficulty remembering and concentrating make up about 5% of the population, whereas the amount with regards to individuals who are at risk of poverty is around double that figure.
Among the EU countries, the highest shares of people facing difficulties in remembering or concentrating were recorded in Finland (33.6%), Denmark (26.7%), the Netherlands (26.0%), Sweden (25.2%) and Estonia (24.9%).
According to the data, memory and concentration issues were more frequent among those at-risk-of-poverty.
