Maltese Costume Designer Nominated For EMMY Award For Work In Series ‘Ripley’

Maltese costume designer Ernest Camilleri has been nominated for an EMMY Award for Outstanding Period Costumes For A Limited Or Anthology Series Or Movie. 

Camilleri received the nomination for his work as wardrobe supervisor on the Netflix miniseries Ripley, particularly for the fourth episode, ‘IV La Dolce Vita’. 

Ripley has received 13 EMMY nominations in total, such as outstanding limited series, lead actor in a limited series, and directing for a limited series, amongst others. 

Camilleri’s colleague, also nominated for an EMMY, expressed his joy towards the nomination on social media.

“The most intense and beautiful working experience so far continues to bring us joy. Ripley has received 13 Emmy nominations, including one for us for Best Costume Design in a Limited Series,” stated Gianni Casalnuovo. 

 

Ernest has been making waves in the industry for years, and is known for his work on productions like Assassin’s Creed, Fast X, Captain Phillips, and Ben-Hur, to name a few.
