Man Arrested With €10,000 Worth Of Drugs In Alleged Trafficking Case

A 28-year-old man from San Ġwann is being held under arrest after he was found in possession of various types of drugs, allegedly intended for sale.

Following surveillance on the suspect, police arrested him yesterday afternoon in Ta’ Qali. A search conducted on his person and at his residence led to the discovery of substances suspected to be cocaine, heroin, and cannabis, allegedly prepared for trafficking.

The drugs are estimated to have a street value of around €10,000. Police also confiscated a vehicle and a sum of cash during the operation.

The man is currently being held at the Police Headquarters lock-up in Floriana and is expected to be arraigned in court today at around 1pm before Magistrate Leonard Caruana
