Man At Risk Of Dying After Traffic Accident In Żurrieq
A 61-year-old man is at risk of dying after a traffic accident in Żurrieq earlier today.
The police were notified around 9.30am and promptly went to the scene on Triq il-Belt in Żurrieq.
According to preliminary investigations, the collision occurred between a Toyota Aqua driven by a 67-year-old woman from Żurrieq and a Piaggio Beverly motorcycle driven by a 61-year-old man from Mqabba.
A medical team arrived at the scene and the ambulance took the motorcyclist to Mater Dei Hospital, where he was certified to have sustained serious injuries.
Magistrate Monica Borg Galea was informed and appointed an inquest, while police investigations are still ongoing.
