Man Kills Woman Before Being Shot Dead By Police In St Julian’s
Police are currently investigating the murder of a woman that took place in Birkirkara this morning at around 2am.
From an initial survey, it appears that an Irish man killed a Maltese woman, most likely with a knife, in her apartment on Triq Maestro Giuseppe Busuttil.
The man then fled the scene towards St Julian’s where he was found by the police. He then ran towards the rocks of the beach area in the locality before pointing a weapon at the officials.
The police shot the assailant and he died shortly after. No police officials were injured during the incident.
According to reports, there are no known reports of domestic violence to the police between the parties.
