A man was shot in the face earlier this morning after an argument in the area of Addolorata cemetery, TVMnews reported.

The victim was admitted to Mater Dei hospital yet his condition remains unknown. However, it appears that he is still alive, the news portal claimed.

After the incident, which allegedly took place this morning at around 10.25, police officials arrived on site with some seen wearing bullet proof vests.

The alleged shooter is claimed to be surrounded by police officers at a field adjacent to the site of the violent altercation.

Superintendent Keith Arnaud from the Homicide squad was also on site.

Relatives of the victim were also on site.
