Manchester United And Malta Partner Up To Launch Maltese Themed Campaign
Manchester United and Visit Malta recently partnered up to launch their Maltese-themed Malta Day promotional campaign.
Launched on 5th April, the campaign aimed to showcase Malta as a top travel destination for Manchester United supporters, while leveraging the collaboration’s broader reach in the global sports tourism market.
The promotional campaign included various marketing initiatives around Old Trafford, with stadium-side banners, perimeter advertisements, and QR codes directing users to the Visit Malta website.
The initiative also incorporated Malta-themed elements within the stadium, featuring a collaboration between Maltese Chef Thomas Stellini and Manchester United Executive Chef, James Tagg, to serve traditional Maltese cuisine and drinks in hospitality suites.
Minister for Tourism Clayton Bartolo commended the partnership while highlighting Malta’s potential as a hub of excellence for sports tourism.
Meanwhile, Carlo Micallef, CEO of the Malta Tourism Authority, celebrated the successful 360-degree advertising approach, stating that “our partnership [with Manchester United] has proven to be a winning combination”.
“We are proud of the work we have done together to promote Malta as a travel destination to Manchester United’s fanbase of over 1 billion supporters worldwide,” he added,
