Watch: Massive Fire Breaks Out In Marsa As Black Smoke Seen Across Entire Island
A fire has broken out in the area of Marsa as a massive cloud of black smoke can be currently seen across the entire island.
Various photos and videos sent to Lovin Malta show an enormous cloud of smoke rising into the sky.
The smoke has been spotted from a number of areas across Malta, including Naxxar, Valletta, and Floriana.
A spokesperson for the CPD informed Lovin Malta that the fire is originating from Marsa, and the cause of the fire may be burning tyres or plastic. Others have speculated that the fire may be originating from the Marsa scrapyard.
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for police confirmed with Lovin Malta that the fire is happening next to the Marsa race course, with the report being received at 10.54am.
