A photography exhibition titled “Memories of China” by Yan Pirotta will be exploring the country’s characteristics and will be available for viewing at the Malta Postal Museum and Arts hub until 30th June.

“I am thrilled to announce my first solo photography exhibition happening at the Malta Postal Museum,” wrote Pirotta.

Pirotta is a Graphic Designer with a passion for photography. He got into photography when he got his hands on the then-newly released Nikon D3100 when he was a teenager.

He experimented with different forms of photography including digital and analogue, and in recent years, he’s been exploring elements of street photography, architecture and small things that generally go unnoticed.

“Beijing as seen through the eyes of a young Maltese photographer. Follow in the footsteps of Yan Pirotta with his trusty X-T3 as he explores new haunts in this most vibrantly chaotic of cities,” wrote the Malta Postal Museum on their website.

The museum went on to say how through “Using random stops on the Beijing metro system, Pirotta returns again and again to his favourite part of the city – the ‘Hutongs’ where he trains his lens on the people, architecture and the more abstract expressions of city life.”
