Mildred Azzopardi’s Family Asks Funeral Attendees To Dress In Colourful Clothing

Mildred Azzopardi’s final farewell will be held on 2nd August at 9.15am at the Floriana Saint Publius Church.
Speaking to Lovin Malta, Mildred’s family asked funeral attendees to wear vibrant colours on the day to honour Azzopardi’s radiant spirit, preferably choosing turquoise or orange since they were her favourite colours.
Azzopardi tragically lost her life in a traffic incident in Xatt il-Barriera Street in Valletta on 27th July where she was crushed between two cars when a Subaru Impreza crashed into a park Ford Fiesta.
The Subaru Impreza was driven by 23-year-old soldier, Benjamin Chetcuti, who has been charged with involuntary homicide, driving under the influence, causing serious injury to Mildred’s husband, and damaging multiple vehicles.
Chetcuti has denied all charges in court. He was allegedly over the legal alcohol limit, according to a breathalyser test. On tight terms, he was released on bail conditions.
Lovin Malta extends its deepest condolences to her family and loved ones
