Ministers Attend Charity Event And Wear Keffiyehs In Solidarity With Palestine
A charity event in aid of the children of Palestine was organised by the Bormla Local Council and the Embassy of Palestine in Malta this morning, with attendees, including Deputy Prime Minister Ian Borg and Minister Owen Bonnici, wearing keffiyehs to show their solidarity.
Christmas by the Dock was held in Cospicua, with the aim of raising funds for the children of Gaza. Music, food and various performances took place, with several members of parliament and students having attended the event.
Minister for the National Heritage, the Arts and Local Government Owen Bonnici congratulated the Cospicua Local Council and NGOs for endorsing such an initiative.
“May one day the two peoples of Palestine and Israel live side by side, in peace and mutual co-operation for the sake of a better, more secure future,” stated Bonnici.
